Humanise your writing
For books, chapters and long-form work. Paste a passage and the workspace shows you where the prose reads as machine-made — stock phrasing, flat rhythm, hidden actors and abstraction — then asks the questions that push you to rewrite it yourself. It never rewrites the passage for you.

Critical rewriting prompts
Answer these in the margin before you touch the passage.
- 1Which sentence here could only have been written by you? Keep it, and rewrite the paragraph around it.
- 2What did this actually look, sound or smell like? Replace one abstract claim with that detail.
- 3Read the passage aloud. Mark every place you ran out of breath or lost interest, and cut there.
- 4What is the strongest objection a sceptical reader would raise? Answer it in the next paragraph.
- 5If you deleted your favourite sentence, would the argument still stand? If yes, it is decoration.
- 6Whose voice is this — yours, or the voice of books about this subject?
